Guru Purnima is observed on the full moon day of Ashadha month. This year, Guru Purnima Tithi begins at 10:43 AM on July 23 and ends at 08:06 AM on July 24. On Guru Purnima Day, every acharya and sishya does Guru Pada Puja.
On the auspicious day, Guru Purnima Puja happened at Pujya Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati’s Maha Samadhi located in Swami Dayananda Saraswati Ashram at Rishikesh in Uttarakhand.
On this occasion, Swami Ananda Saraswati visited Pujya Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati Ashram and participated in the Guru Purnima Puja and got the blessings of his guru.
“Let the teaching tradition continue through you is my sincere prayer for all of you”, is Swamiji’s message to his students on this auspicious day of Guru Purnima.
