Siracusa Mayor Mr. Franceso Italia met with Swamiji twice in the month of April 2024. Swamiji and Mayor had discussions on wide range of topics including Yoga, Vedanta and Culture.
As the outcome of the discussions, Siracusa Mayor Mr. Franceso Italia agreed to conduct International Yoga Day on June 21. Swamiji presented the Visvamitra diary of vedic year, 5125 to the Mayor of Siracusa. Mr. Franceso Italia has a great respect for Yoga and Indian traditions.
On 2019, the Mayor participated in Swamiji’s Nirvana Shatakam class and honored the teaching tradition of Visvamitra Gurukulam.
