Why do you Procrastinate!

Swami Ananda Saraswati

We all are born with tremendous power, but unfortunately, we are not able to use it. We most of the time fail to utilize our power. It is because of our fear, endearment, desire, greed, and laziness. When any one of these emotions or a few of them together takes over our mind, we postpone making an effort.

We only procrastinate. During our procrastination, if someone says, while putting effort, you may get tired and exhausted, and finally, you may lose many things including putting your life at risk, we get alarmed. Our procrastination-oriented mind gets its strength to procrastinate more. But we forget that life is always at risk. Even if we do not put effort, still we get tired and exhausted too.

When an attempt is made, the chances of success and failure are divided in equal proportion. But if there is no attempt, the chances of failure become certain.

Please remember, standing up against someone’s atrocities and injustice can bring about only one kind of harm, i.e. at worst, you may die. But not to decide against making an attempt out of fear or endearment can bring about two certain kinds of harms. Your mind and soul succumbs to weakness and the tyrants become more powerful to do more injustice.
