To live a life of a sannyasa, a renunciation has nothing to do with intellectual accomplishment but it has something to do with one’s own maturity. One may, be mature and not be intellectually accomplished. When one is able to live with oneself happily, at least relatively happy, and one is naturally contemplative, one’s maturity has attained a certain completeness what we call self-contentment. For such a person, a life of a sannyasa, is advocated by Vedic teaching, so that the person is officially and completely released from all previously enjoined karmas. A sannyasi, a renunciate, being free from all enjoined duties can pursue knowledge of self freely.
